Hensgens Wins & Innovative Scores Another Victory

May. 2nd 2011

INN Was The Game Changer

It was a race they predicted Bob Hensgens couldn’t win.  His opponent Linda Hardee’s home base was much larger and Hensgens was at a major geographical disadvantage.  Innovative couldn’t change the population numbers...so we changed the game.

“Bob Hensgens was the underdog.  We worked hard to build his name and tell his story,” said Jay Connaughton, Partner at Innovative Advertising.  “There were critical differences between Bob and his opponent -- more than just their hometowns -- and our TV spot and mailers defined the issues and turned this election on its head.”

Every move carefully targeted and timed

Heading into the final few days of the election even longtime Louisiana political reporter John Maginnis described the race as “too close to call”.  But Innovative had a plan.

“We carefully timed and targeted the last hard-hitting mail piece to drive home our message,” said Gordon Reese, Political Director at Innovative Advertising.  “Bob Hensgens’ victory increased our string of wins for INN candidates to a perfect 10.”
